Ramp Creative Wins Three Awards at the IR Achievement Awards Ceremony


Partnering for Life, the 2010 Edwards Lifesciences AR

Los Angeles, CA (July 10, 2011) – Los Angeles-based design studio Ramp Creative received three honors at the NIRI OC (National Investor Relations Institute Orange County) 2011 Investor Relations Achievement Awards Ceremony in early July for their work on the 2010 Edwards Lifesciences Corporate annual report, “Partnering for Life.”

The annual report received Best Innovative Idea or Concept, Best Create in Online Annual Report, and the People’s Choice awards. The report was awarded three winning spots out of 19 design-related categories from over 25 public companies.

The partners took on the task of judging the design and messaging of annual report entries, developed in Orange County or for Orange County-based public companies.

Drawing On Her Experience

We first contacted Liz Wheaton because of her classic engraving-style and nostalgic work, which was perfect for the 2008 CWS Capital Partners Annual Report. Her work includes historic portraits and landscapes done in scratchboard and pen & ink. Liz focused on illustration while growing up in Northern California, graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1980, and then returned to the Bay Area to develop her freelance business.
